On 7 – 8 September 2012 in Vladivostok there was a Summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The total Members of the Government and Managers consisted of more than 700 largest companies in the region who all took part in the discussion. In 2012, the following priority tasks were assigned for APEC:

•    Liberalization of the investments trade, regional economic integration;
•    Fortification of food distribution security;
•    Formation of reliable transport and logistics;
•    Intensive cooperation for providing innovative growth.

Russia has been a member of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum since 1998. The Russian President has taken part in the APEC Forum since 1999.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order that determined suppliers for providing goods, execution of works, for organizing cultural programs would meet Heads of State and APEC forum countries-members, authorized by the Kremlin. The order was published on the official informational web-portal, where POWER TECHNOLOGIES was asked to provide electrical technical and cable equipment.
